Are you stupid?
Why not find out by taking this test !!
There are a bunch of questions put up in this website! Try answering them! Although they look like silly questions , each question has a catch!
Remember, if you read the question twice or try answering the question after deep thinking the result of this test won’t be accurate! Before any remarks, take this test!
I’m finally in 4th year of my engineering, which means I can escape from college in another year! These days college has become the borest of the borest of the borest places to be on earth ! *sigh* Every hour is like a day and every day is like a month. Time somehow seems to move too slow during class hours. I can’t wait to leave and I wont miss the place.
I definitely like a few subjects , but the way things are being taught in this country is making studies terribly boring and meaningless. Now that I’m in final year there are lots of options lying before me! I’m terribly confused whether doing to higher studies or taking up a job would be a better choice.
The problem is, I hate doing the same thing continuously, especially if its going to be ‘forever’ ! I’m definitely not for MS , because the same things are going to be repeated there. However MBA sounds like a better option to me, mainly because all the things I like doing are similar to things that might occur in business days. The Magazine, Newsletter , TAGS, TWIGS , et al.. In all of the above there was a need for us to interact with small and big people- Most important of all the rude people, the liars and people who fool around and waste my time ( A dose of real world ) , convince people , sketch a dozen plan A and Plan B, conduct a dozen meetings, Guide and get guidance, Satisfy the people who adopt( Customer Satisfaction) , listen to lot of opinions and make decisions and most important of all- I stopped depending on others(always) for help, I can do things alone too! These have also taught me patience. All needed for Business! But not enough!
Basically, I feel a MBA degree alone cannot produce a business whiz. There is a real need for real life experience and a meet with rude and haughty people and learn how to deal with them. So I guess doing MBA would do justice to me and my dreams. But , I’m really not going to sit in front of a green board or black board for two more years after this year. My final decision is to take up job for exactly two years, get work experience and then if my interest in Business still persists, I’ll do MBA.
Phew! Thanks to Kavin who gave me some idea regarding future studies and I’m sure he will murder me if I ask him again, because I already asked him the same thing two to three times for which he gave the same answer! ROFL !
Life is a great teacher but a very strict one! The first time it teaches gently! The second time , a polite and firm lesson! But if you still don’t learn it, then it strikes pretty badly! That is when we realize the lesson! Here is the second list of lessons , a continuation to the First !
1. Too much of affection will one fine day lead to too much pain, whatever the situation maybe.
2. A person who lies for you will lie to you.
3. You are the creator of your own destiny.
4. The worst thing on earth is to be dependent on someone throughout your life. Death is far better.
5. A person who is nice to you and rude to someone else is definitely not a nice person. He deserves
no respect!
6. If you call someone as your ‘best friend’ or even ‘friend’, you must be prepared to help that person
even if it causes an inconvenience to you or your family. Because when they depend on you for some reason, it means they trusted you, because YOU labeled yourself as their best friend. And if you cannot keep the trust ,never call them your best friend, because the meaning gets brutally killed and it will hurt them!
7. Never discriminate anyone unless the person is not worth your help and a heartless person himself. Anyone who discriminates for reasons like beauty, caste, English knowledge, benefits et al needs to be kicked out!
8. There are a few good people on earth.
9. Poor people are kinder than rich people, most of the times.
10. The perfect human exists, only in my Imaginary world. But one thing I realized! Even the worst person has at least one good quality and the best person has at least one bad quality. There is a lesson to learn from each and everything existing!
For the first time in the History of earth Aliens have Invaded a blog! The author of the blog doesn’t seem to have a clue as to how the aliens located his blog. Despite taking several measures to prevent the entry of aliens into earth, it looks like all the efforts have turned out to be futile! The news hit the News Channels and it has been telecast in all the channels throughout the evening. The news has been posted in all the top websites and an emergency situation has been declared. There is terror everywhere! An Alien attack is expected anytime! Is it the end for earth?
Visit this blog here and IADA (International Alien Detection Agency) have located the alien Activity here
If you believed any of the crap I’ve just typed, sorry but you definitely need to get back to earth. But Inchara’s word press blog seem to have attracted an enormous number of strange people from various countries! Strange comments in strange languages seem to be filling the comments section. I noticed it some months back when the number of comments hit 30. Two days back when the team met for TAGS meeting I just mentioned it again. When Inc checked his blog a day later, to his surprise he found a whopping 106 comments! Aliens?
What really surprises me is the fact he did nothing to get more visitors except post some interesting articles about the things outside earth! Anyway, his blog is dedicated only to Astronomy and I have a feeling it might soon get featured in Indian Express, because the newspaper seem to posting random articles from random blogs in the upper left corner.
The title sounds familiar ? No other title seemed apt, so nicked it from Kavin’s blog!
I can never forget the date (24-02-200 of the day we went to visit Guild of Service in Anna Nagar, because it was Shiyamili’s birthday! That activity brought TWIGS into the real world from the virtual world of or minds. We decided to get something useful for them. Finally we decided to get stationary items for them. That included pencils, pen, rubber and Dora stickers for them. Dora is a cartoon character which is quite famous among the children of their age! I bought all these from a shop in T.Nagar, while Shiyamili bought earrings for the little girls, cakes, pen, chocolates, rubber, scale, sharpener, ribbons, sketches, color pencils, hair clips, bangles and soaps etc in her area. In the morning I first went to Blue Cross and met Inc, Kavin and Shiyamili there for a job related to TAGS. After that after that Shyamili and myself took a bus and went straight to Anna Nagar while Inchara and Kavin came along with the bus . We got down at some stopping and wondered where the place was. Not knowing it was just a few feets away we took an auto. He told us we were very near but anyway took us there. He at first refused money after knowing that we came to visit the children but we made him take it anyway.
With many bags in hand we entered the place. It looked like a school and there was an entrance at the right side of the ground. There was a room full of children and the day being a Sunday they were watching a Tamil movie. We soon met the Warden there who looked like an angel She looked really kind and I felt she was perfect for them. The children were asked to come to another room so that we can meet them. These children were amazing and many had so many disabilities. There was a guy whose legs were twisted, another kid who was partially blind, one more kid who could not speak and many with similar disablement. I was very surprised to see a completely normal little girl who spent most of the time there with me. All these children were in this state because they were not administrated polio drops at the right time. And the little girl’s legs will be deformed in the future ! How Horrible! I felt sorry for her and for the others but their determination surprised me.
My job was to make them happy and I planned accordingly. I shook hands with almost all of them, because at their age getting a hand shake was something great! They felt great and shy when I shook hands with them and said “Hello!!”. Each of us settled in a corner with a bunch of kids. Shiyamili started distributing chocolates to the kids and many had a second round too !
We started talking with the kids and asked them questions like what is your name? What is your ambition? ..et al. This was to make them interact with us. Simple and efficient. Many had great ambitions which was great to hear! I remember a few kids ! One was a little kiddo who showed signs and called me to his place. He first wished me and asked me my name. When I gave him the things he thanked me! He had such good manners and a gentleman like behavior at this age and I was taken aback. I praised him for being a gentleman and I’m sure many girls will admire him when he grows up. He wanted me to call Inc which I did. Both became quite busy and Inc was actually teaching him some basic electrical stuff and he seemed quite interested. Signs of a bright student! He told me that he wanted to be like Gandhi and also invent something related to soil. “We must not waste soil”, he said.
Next I spent time with the little girl who looked normal. There was another guy who kept pushing her and she came and complained to me. He he! I was reminded of my childhood days. They were the best! I surprised myself when I uttered to him,” You are a good boy right? Good boys are nice to little girls”. LOL! Well after much crying and consoling the partially blind boy also joined me ,the girl and the guy. All of a sudden the guy ran away and brought a powder box. They wanted me to play beauty parlour (!!LOL) and I did. We sat on the benches and one by one showed their face whileI put make up. Ha ha! They enjoyed it a lot.
I was really amazed because kavin forgot all of us and settled in one corner with a bunch of kids. I think he was explaining to them about cell phones because after sometime they started calling his mobile from mine. And Shiyamili was with another bunch of kids and she distributed . She gave the earrings to a girl and she was really happy! The day was good. Some returned to the movie they get to watch them only on weekends. Finally we distributed Dora Stickers and gave the remaining items to the warden. I still remember that Kind look! It was a memorable day for me. I was getting fed up with college and at the right time this happened. It rekindled my childhood memories and the times I had some real adventures with adventure seeking friends. We will visit them again. Most important of all I’m totally proud of my four good friends Priya,Inchara,Shiyamili and Kavin who have made TAGS and TWIGS possible. I’m sure Shyamili would have had a great time ,so would have Kavin and Inc !

In the year 1952 a guy with the name Colonel Harland Sanders started a fast food restaurant and soon it multiplied into various branches all over the world. It is such a huge and popular restaurant , that they have their own Chicken farm. The chicken there are grown exclusively to be used for the restaurant. Now they even have branches in India, in cities like Chandigarh, Pune, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata , Chennai, Tharamani and Mylapore. They offer variety of non veg items which come in attractive packages and with the big smiley faced picture of the Colonel. Whom am I talking about? The Famous KFC !
What’s the big deal about this, you might wonder.
But are you aware of the fact , that you have been indirectly forced to support all the atrocious and illegal activities they have be doing all these years?
FAST FACTS
1. KFC is one of the most cruelest businesses out there, killing baby chicks when barely 2 months old. (Imagine killing a new born human baby by crushing them.) 2. The workers there are paid to de-beak chickens ( Cutting beaks, which would be equivalent to cutting out fingers) with out an anesthetic, dipping them in scalding water ( Extremely hot and boiling water) for de-feathering (removing the feathers) , and finally slitting their throats after pain and torture. ( Imagine all these being done to a live human)
3. More than 850 million chickens are tortured and killed each year for KFC. They are subjected to all kinds of cruelty when are fully alive and can feel the pain.
4. PETA (People For Ethical Treatment of Animals) got an undercover Agent into KFC to find out happenings there.
5. When The Agent was Interviewed through telephone under anonymous condition (because he feared retaliation and still does undercover work for the group), he said
“I saw ”hundreds” of acts of cruelty, including workers tearing beaks off, ripping a bird’s head off to write graffiti in blood, spitting tobacco juice into birds’ mouths, plucking feathers to ”make it snow,” suffocating a chicken by tying a latex glove over its head, and squeezing birds like water balloons to spray feces over other birds.”
He said the behavior was ”to alleviate boredom or vent frustrations,” especially when so many birds were coming in that they would have to work late.
6. To document cruelty and position his tiny camera, he said, he spent eight months working in the ”hang pen,” where workers attach newly arrived chickens by their feet to a conveyor that carries them upside-down through an electrified ‘’stun bath” and then into the whirling blades of the throat-cutting machine.
7. On April 6, one day he filmed, workers made a game of throwing chickens against a wall; 114 were thrown in seven minutes. A supervisor walking past the pile of birds on the floor said, ”Hold your fire,” and, once out of the way, told the crew to ”carry on.”
8. On another day, he said, the supervisor told the crew to kill correctly because inspectors were visiting.
9. KFC has its own KFC Animal Welfare Advisory Council, but it was found to be a dummy later . The recommendations of the KFC Animal Welfare Advisory Council have been ignored .
10. Adele Douglass, a former member of the council, said in an SEC filing reported on by the Chicago Times, that KFC
“never had any meetings. They never asked any advice, and then they touted to the press that they had this animal-welfare advisory committee. I felt like I was being used.”
11. Since 2003, PETA and some other Animal Rights organization jumped into action and there have been 12,000 demonstrations at KFC outlets since 2003 because of this alleged mistreatment of chickens by KFC suppliers.
12. KFC has been accused of a large destruction of the Amazon Rainforest, because the supply of soy used for chicken food KFC receives from Cargill has been traced back to the European KFC.

Chennai has got lots of PETA Activists and many students from schools and colleges have jumped into action. They are taking part in protests against KFC conducted in the city.
Recently One of the protests done by four Chennai PETA activists hit the newspapers. My Friend Niranjan whom I know through AWPT was also featured in the newspaper along with a picture.
Actor Madhavan is one of the celebrities who has joined PETA to go against Animal Cruelty.
Found myself today
Oh I found myself and ran away
Something pulled me back
The voice of reason I forgot I had
All I know is you’re not here to say
What you always used to say
But it’s written in the sky tonight
So I won’t give up
No I won’t break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even if it all goes wrong
When I’m standing in the dark I’ll still believe
Someone’s watching over me
Seen that ray of light
And it’s shining on my destiny
Shining all the time
And I wont be afraid
To follow everywhere it’s taking me
All I know is yesterday is gone
And right now I belong
To this moment to my dreams
So I won’t give up
No I won’t break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even if it all goes wrong
When I’m standing in the dark I’ll still believe
Someone’s watching over me
It doesn’t matter what people say
And it doesn’t
matter how long it takes
Believe in yourself and you’ll fly high
And it only matters how true you are
Be true to yourself and follow your heart
So I won’t give up
No I won’t break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even if it all goes wrong
When I’m standing in the dark I’ll still believe
That I won’t give up
No I won’t break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even when it all goes wrong
When I’m standing in the dark I’ll still believe
That someone’s watching over
Someone’s watching over
Someone’s watching over me
Someone’s watching over me

College Hill, MA 34109
Dear Professor Millington,
Thank you for your letter of March 16. After careful consideration, I
regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me
an assistant professor position in your department.
This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually
large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field
of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.
Despite Whitson’s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in
rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at
this time. Therefore, I will assume the position of assistant professor
in your department this August. I look forward to seeing you then.
The best way to know about the people around the city is to travel around it. Traveling in car is equal to shutting yourself away from others , while a bike is reserved for a conversation just between two. It is in the bus you will discover the most amusing people and really funny incidents. So that shall be what this post will cover. No one in my college would have missed the college bus as I have. But then, I had great experiences traveling in the government bus, atleast during the times when I was lucky enough to get a place to sit.
So here it goes.
Incident 1:
IT was in T.Nagar bus stop. Me and my sister got into a bus and was waiting for it to move away from the bus stand. It was hot and we were really bored. I was looking around and outside through the window , when a beggar family entered the bus . There were two young boys , very dirty with torn clothes and they along with their mother were asking for money. What really irritated me was, these tiny kids were trained to beg. They were acting and pulling the people ! If alone they had not acted I would have atleast got an ice-cream for them. But then, knowing well they are acting I decided not to encourage them. At that time a girl entered the bus with an ice-cream cone, the one you get for 5bucks! The mother immediately asked her to give atleast the ice-cream to her son, and told her son to get it from her, pushing him towards her. I could clearly see from her look, that she did not want to part with the ice-cream, yet she had to and this decision of hers was made only because the bus crowd was watching her every action. Well, the same beggary-discouraging people behaved quite differently in the next incident.
Incident 2:
Immediately after the exit of the first set of beggars, another grown up guy came. He was a north Indian Guy. He had a pile of cards in his hands, in bright pink or purple I think, and Yellow colors. He just walked through the passage and distributed the cards to all the people. There was a passage there, stating that he belonged to a poor family , and that he had with much difficulty come to this city and he needed money to save his family. The passage was written in a really bad English, which I’m quite sure was deliberately done! This much might have made me believe him, maybe with a few doubts about the percentage of truth in that piece of card. But the last line was what made me laugh!
” Only Rs5 or Rs10″
I returned the card. But the same people who refused to encourage beggary last time, gave a whole 5rupee coin to him. It was because of that sentence in the card. It now became a prestige issue to them . For if they did not give the money , it would make them look cheap. Thus the second beggar cleverly got a lot of money. I burst out laughing seeing this!
Incident 3:
This happened when I was returning from college one evening. There are three rules which I strictly follow when traveling in bus. You must always get up and give your place for three kinds of people: 1. Old people , 2. Pregnant ladies, 3. People with disability.
That day I had to stand while traveling and a pregnant lady entered the bus. She was standing in front of me, near the front entrance of the bus. If I had been sitting things would have been much easier. I would just get up and leave the place. But now I had to ask someone to get up. Well, I asked the first person whom I could see. It was a villager like lady sitting in the first seat. I asked her in Tamil, “There is a pregnant lady here. Can you please give your place for her?” . She gave me a look which I would never forget in my lifetime. She looked, in fact stared at me as if I asked something completely unfair or terrible. And she did not attempt to make a reply to me and turned her face towards the window, mumbling something to herself. . LOL. There was nothing more I could do there and so I went near the driver seat and asked another lady there. Unfortunately she had a fracture in her leg. oh!
By this time everyone was watching me strangely and wondering why the heck I was walking here and there. I looked around, wondering whom to ask. I got an idea! I started looking for educated people. There was a lady at the back. She was wearing the tag, used by the IT company people. I immediately went to her and asked her in English ! And she immediately got up . I thanked her and went to the front of the bus. I asked to pregnant lady to go and sit there. She just went and sat there without saying a word to me !
I was arranging the CDs with dad when I came across this Music CD which dad had bought long back. It was a CD full of piano music of Tamil Flim songs. I must say , Piano is really a lovely instrument. I liked the piano music rather than the original song. Right now I’m hearing this music piece from the movie “Duet” like mad that I’m soon going to start hating it . But still, for now, its lovely, like honey to the ears!
I could not get the piano music of this song. If you are really attentive, Notice the music at 2:34 exactly. That is the best part of the entire music in this song. There are some lovely songs which I’ve stopped hearing. I must go back and find them !
There are two nightmares which I wish never would happen, even in my dreams. One is a world with just people and buildings groomed with technology and money. A world with no animals, birds, insects or trees. Another nightmare is a world without books. I pity people who get fed up with text books and never attempt to read the other kinds of books. Yes, the storybooks. Books are like a genie. They grant me a wish, an escape into an imaginary world for the few hours when I’m bored with everything else, where you can experience all kinds of emotions, come across different lifestyles , experience fear, thrill and magic! What not?
I started with Tinkle and proceeded to Enid Blyton. Enid Blyton wrote wonderful stories that would take you on an adventurous ride to a very different magic world. Then it was Arthur Conan Doyle’s fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, and I completed the entire series in a week. Every author has his own writing style. The first book would always be boring for me because I need to get adjusted to their style. After that I will not be able to stop reading them . I moved on to Classics of Charkes Dickens. This Author is someone I really admire. He had a very bad childhood and all his stories would be about a young boy who suffers in childhood. That was when I started liking Classics. The English used there will be different and I like that sort of English a lot.
Another Classic which is close to my heart is Little Women. It is about four sisters of a family whose father is out at war, their wonderful dreams and how their life turns out. There are sequels to this book, Good Wives,Little Men, Jo’s Boys.
The author Lousia May Alcott is actually Jo, one of the sisters in the book. It is the story of the author herself, which makes the book even more interesting. I’m reading the second book now and hopefully I’ll get hold of all the other books from ELOOR Library. You name the book, you get it here. More on books later.
